A school self-evaluation has been undertaken in our school since 2012. This was in direct response to the National Strategy on Literacy & Numeracy 2011. Teaching and learning in literacy was first evaluated and last year teaching & learning in Numeracy was evaluated.
All members of the school community were actively involved in the self- evaluation process. The process involved tracking outcomes for literacy & Numeracy over the past 3 years using standardised test results of pupils from 1st – 6th classes . Teacher designed tests, teacher observation, focus groups, and curriculum checklists were also used in the self evaluation process.
